Dollar stays in upper 108 yen zone on higher U.S. yields

TOKYO, May 30 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar stayed in the upper 108 yen zone Wednesday in Tokyo on a rise in U.S. Treasury yields.

At 5 p.m., the dollar was quoted at 108.72-73 yen compared with 108.70-80 yen in New York and 108.74-75 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Tuesday. It moved between 108.36 yen and 108.88 yen during the day.

The euro fetched 1.1603-1604 dollars and 126.15-19 yen against 1.1534-1544 dollars and 125.47-57 yen in New York and 1.1566-1568 dollars and 125.77-81 yen in Tokyo late Tuesday afternoon. Enditem
