CAPE TOWN, May 21 (Xinhua) -- The following are news items in South Africa's major media outlets on Monday:

-- The Public Service Coordinating Bargaining Council (PSCBC) will on Monday present the agreement on wage increases to trade unions and the government to be signed, as the Federation of Unions of South Africa (FEDUSA) has called for a postponement and asked for more time to consult with members.

FEDUSA's affiliate, the Public Servants Association (PSA), is the only union who has not agreed to the three-year, above-inflation wage deal. (Fin24)

-- The African National Congress (ANC) has moved to tackle the country's burning land debate through a summit held at the weekend.

Delegates gathered in Boksburg, near Johannesburg, and discussed the resolution made by the party on land expropriation without compensation. (Eyewitness News)

-- Environment Affairs Minister Edna Molewa said on Sunday the South African government supports nuclear energy with safe practices.
