Dollar rises to lower 111 yen zone

TOKYO, May 21 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar rose to the lower 111 yen zone Monday in Tokyo.

At 5 p.m., the dollar was quoted at 111.35-37 yen compared with 110.70-80 yen in New York and 110.89-90 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Friday. It moved between 110.83 yen and 111.39 yen during the day.

The euro fetched 1.1725-1726 dollars and 130.56-60 yen against 1.1767-1777 dollars and 130.33-43 yen in New York and 1.1812-1813 dollars and 130.99-131.03 yen in Tokyo late Friday afternoon. Enditem
