British stocks up 0.30 pct Wednesday

LONDON, Jan. 3 (Xinhua) -- British stocks rose on Wednesday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up 23.01 points or 0.30 percent at 7,671.11 points.

Next, the British clothing and home products retailer, soared 6.67 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Just Eat and Experian increased by 4.30 percent and 2.25 percent, respectively.

The Chilean mining group Antofagasta was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 2.58 percent. WPP, the British multinational advertising and public relations company, dropped 2.51 percent. Fresnillo, the international mining group, dropped 2.44 percent. Enditem
