Nearly 7 tonnes of cocaine intercepted at Belgium's Antwerp

THE HAGUE, Jan. 3 (Xinhua) -- The Belgian Customs seized nearly 7,000 kg of cocaine in a container with a cargo of bananas at the Port of Antwerp, on Dec. 30, 2017, the Dutch police said in a statement Wednesday.

The statement posted on the website of Dutch police said the cocaine was presumed to be heading for the Netherlands, and there is an ongoing investigation of its exact origin and destination. Enditem
