NEW YORK, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale jolted 7 km NE of Miyako, Japan at 17:58:43 GMT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 44 km, was initially determined to be at 39.6811 degrees north latitude and 142.022 degrees east longitude. Enditem
