Mayor of U.S. city of San Francisco dies at 65

SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 12 (Xinhua) -- Ed Lee, the first Asian American mayor of San Francisco in the U.S. state of California, died unexpectedly early Tuesday morning at the age of 65 after suffering a heart attack, local TV reported.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Anita, his two daughters, Brianna and Tania, and his family," a statement released by the mayor's office said. Enditem
