MOGADISHU -- United States forces early Tuesday conducted an airstrike in Somalia on Al-Shabaab militants, the U.S. Africa Command (Africom) said.

No civilian was killed in the drone strike, which was carried out in coordination with the Somali government and targeted an al-Shabaab vehicle-borne improvised explosive device, about 65km southwest of the capital, Mogadishu, Africom said.(Somalia-U.S.-Shabaab)

NAKURU, Kenya -- More than 25 people were killed and several others injured on Tuesday when a truck hit about a dozen passenger vehicles along the busy Nakuru-Eldoret highway in northwest Kenya.

Regional criminal investigation commander Gideon Kibunja said the crash occurred when the driver of the truck, which was being chased by National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) officers, lost control of the truck and hit oncoming vehicles.(Kenya-Accident)

JUBA -- The number of people killed in clashes between rival Dinka tribe clans in central South Sudan has risen to 172, a local official said on Tuesday.
