Dyson recalls 116,283 purifier fans in China

Xinhua,December 12, 2017 Adjust font size:

BEIJING, Dec. 12 (Xinhua) -- Dyson Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. has filed plans to recall 116,283 imported hot/cool air purifier fans in China due to safety risks, China's product quality watchdog said Tuesday.

The recall involves HP00, HP01, HP02 and HP03 models produced in Malaysia between Oct. 1, 2015 and June 30, 2017, according to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.

Inadequate product descriptions in the user guide may lead to improper operations among consumers, which could lead to safety risks.

High-tech products offered by the British technology company, including vacuum cleaners, bladeless fans and hair dryers, have become more popular among Chinese consumers.

The HP00 hot and cool air purifier fan costs around 5,000 yuan (757.6 U.S. dollars) in China. Enditem
