German shares gain 0.83 pct Friday

FRANKFURT, Dec. 8 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index up 108.55 points, or 0.83 percent, to close at 13,153.70 points.

Deutsche Bank won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 2.90 percent. German airlines Lufthansa and Commerzbank rose by 2.23 percent and 2.18 percent respectively.

German personal-care company Beiersdorf lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 0.54 percent. Telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom and insurance and financial services company Allianz down by 0.25 percent and 0.03 percent respectively.

Deutsche Bank was the most-traded share with a turnover of 404.42 million euros (474.87 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
