ANKARA, Dec. 8 (Xinhua) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit Ankara on Dec. 11 on the invitation of his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Turkish presidential spokesman said in a statement.
The two leaders would focus on bilateral relations and international issues, including the latest developments on Jerusalem, as well as the current situation in Syria, according to the statement.
On Thursday, the two leaders held a phone conversation to discuss the U.S. recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital, saying the move would "negatively impact the peace and stability in the region."
Their last meeting was in Russia's Black Sea city of Sochi on Nov. 22, where they held peace talks on Syria as the three guarantor countries, with Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani. Enditem
