2017 Youth Sailing World Championships to take place in Sanya

HAIKOU, Dec. 7 (Xinhua) -- The 2017 Youth Sailing World Championships will be launched on Dec. 9 to 16 in Sanya, south China's Hainan Province.

The championships have attracted a total of 374 sailors from 60 countries and regions, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Russia and China.

Some of the biggest names in sailing have attended the championships, including 18-year-old Laser Radial defending champion Dolores Moreira of Uruguay, 18-year-old Elyse Ainsworth of Australia, the winner of 2014 Oceania Byte CII, and the Chinese sailor Chen Hao, the titlist of 2017 National Youth Sailing Championships.

The Championships features nine events: boy's and girl's single Laser Radial, boy's and girl's 29er, boy's and girl's 420, boy's and girl's RS: X and Nacra 15. Enditem
