NAIROBI, Dec. 3 (Xinhua) -- The following are the news highlights in Kenyan media outlets on Sunday.

-- Kenyans are bracing themselves for a black Christmas in a year characterized by an economic slowdown that led to job losses and relocation of manufacturing companies to other countries.

However, as budgets get leaner, former legislators who lost their seats and cabinet secretaries who will be dropped from their posts, among other leaders, are set to get a hefty send-off that would cost the taxpayer up to 280 million U.S. dollars. (Standard on Sunday)
