Afghan clash claims 11 lives including 2 soldiers

GHAZNI, Afghanistan, Dec. 3 (Xinhua) -- A total of 11 persons including two soldiers were killed as clash erupted between security forces and Taliban fighters in Nani area of eastern Afghanistan's Ghazni province on Saturday, provincial governor's spokesman Aref Nuri said here on Sunday.

The clash, according to the official, took place in Nani village of Andar district on Saturday afternoon and lasted for a few hours. As a result, nine militants and two soldiers were killed.

Taliban militants are yet to make comment on the report. Enditem
