NEW YORK, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale jolted Lac Kivu region, Democratic Republic of the Congo at 21:48:35 GMT on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 2.6578 degrees south latitude and 28.7523 degrees east longitude. Enditem
