CHICAGO, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) grains closed mixed Wednesday with corn futures ending higher on a round of short-covering and some satisfactory export sales news.

Soybean futures gave up morning gains to finish lower by the close. Wheat futures rebounded after hitting contract lows on Tuesday.

The most active corn contract for March delivery went up 3.75 cents, or 1.07 percent, to 3.535 dollars per bushel. March wheat delivery rose 5.5 cents, or 1.28 percent, to 4.3475 dollars per bushel. January soybeans fell 0.5 cent, or 0.05 percent to 9.925 dollars per bushel.

Private exporters reported to U.S. Department of Agriculture the sale of 3.9 million bushels of corn for delivery to unknown destinations during the 2017/18 marketing year, which began September 1.

As for other major exporters, the Argentine weather forecast is drier with a storm system on the weekend looking much weaker Wednesday morning.

Regular rain will drop across North and Central Brazil with rainfall totals of two to six inches. The rain will maintain favorable growing conditions across most area of North Brazil. Enditem
