French shares gain 0.15 pc on Wednesday

PARIS, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- French shares edged up on Wednesday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 up 0.15 percent, or 7.57 points, to close at 5,398.05 points.

A total of 24 of the 40 selected large companies gained in the day.

French multinational retailer Carrefour advanced 3.31 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Luxembourg-based multinational steel manufacturing corporation Arcelormittal gained 2.59 percent. UK-based company providing complete project life cycle services TechnipFMC rose 2.25 percent.

French-Italian multinational electronics and semiconductor manufacturer STMICROELECTRONICS edged down 7.08 percent,the top loser of the blue chips. French car manifacturer Peugeot went down by 3.94 percent, French multinational professional services and business consulting corporation Cap Gemini lost 3.85 percent. Enditem
