Singapore stocks close 0.08 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 2.44 points, or 0.08 percent, to close at 3,221.66.

A total of 1.82 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1.33 billion Singapore dollars (959.11 million U.S. dollars). Decliners outnumbered gainers 275 to 167.

The STI index lost 3.61 points, or 0.11 percent, to close at 3,224.10 on Wednesday. Endit
