At least 3 killed in suicide bomb attack in southern Somalia

Xinhua, May 12, 2017 Adjust font size:

At least three people were killed and another one injured on Friday after a suicide bomber blew himself up in Kismayo town in southern Somalia.

Spokesperson of the Somali Ministry of Internal Security Ahmed Arab told reporters the three killed included two civilians and the suicide bomber.

"Al-Shabaab militants carried out the suicide bomb attack in Kismayo this afternoon and killed two women who are civilians and injured a soldier," Arab said.

He said the security forces will remain vigilant against the insurgents who have been carrying out attacks against government soldiers and other social joints.

He said the forces are working together with the African Union peacekeepers to wipe out the militants. Endit
