German shares close flat Wednesday

German stocks closed flat on Wednesday, with the benchmark DAX index up 8.34 points, or 0.07 percent, to close at 12757.46 points.

German airlines Lufthansa won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 3.35 percent. Tire specialist Continental and semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies rose by 1.67 percent and 1.29 percent respectively.

German maker of sportswear and equipment Adidas lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 1.44 percent. Multinational building materials company HeidelbergCement and electronics company Siemens went down by 1.38 percent and 0.58 percent respectively.

Deutsche Bank was the most-traded share, with a turnover of 332.40 million euros. Enditem
