BiH extends congratulations to French President-elect Macron

Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Mladen Ivanic on Monday extended congratulations to Emmanuel Macron on his victory in the French presidential election.

"I would like to extend sincere congratulations and wish you success in performing the duty of a president of the Republic of France. I believe you will successfully confront all the challenges ahead of you. I also hope good cooperation between BiH and the Republic of France will continue," Ivanic said.

French centrist candidate Emmanuel Macron, 39, won Sunday's presidential election, with 66.1 percent of votes, defeating his far-right rival Marine Le Pen who garnered 33.9 percent of votes, according to final figures published by the French Interior Ministry. Endit
