-- Trade union Solidarity will submit a petition to Parliament on Monday requesting a debate on "double standards" that prevail in the handling of racism and possible consequences thereof, the union said on Sunday. (News24)

-- Four people have been arrested in Vuwani, northern South Africa, for public violence after President Jacob Zuma failed to address a community meeting at the weekend.

Six cars were damaged in the violence, including two South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) vans, forcing journalists to flee on Sunday. (Eyewitness News)
