Flamengo scored twice in the last five minutes to record a 3-1 aggregate victory over Fluminense in Brazil's Rio de Janeiro state championship final.
Having won last week's first leg 1-0, Flamengo saw Fluminense draw level courtesy of a Henrique Dourado header in the opening minutes of Sunday's deciding fixture at the Maracana stadium.
It took more than 80 minutes for Flamengo to break the deadlock, with Peru striker Paolo Guerrero lashing in after goalkeeper Diego Cavalieri failed to grasp a tame Rever header.
Cavalieri's night got worse when he was shown a red card shortly after for a foul on Rodinei, who then put the result beyond doubt by scoring on the counter-attack.
It was Flamengo's 34th Rio state title as they extended their record as the most successful team in the competition. Fluminense are second on the all-time title list with 31 triumphs.
Meanwhile, Corinthians secured their 28th Sao Paulo state championship with a 4-1 aggregate victory over Ponte Preta at Corinthians Arena.
Sunday's 1-1 draw was enough to hand Corinthians the title after they won the first leg 3-0. Angel Romero struck for Corinthians while Marllon was on target for Ponte Preta. Endit
