Dollar changes hands in upper 112 yen zone in early Tokyo deals

The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 112 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Monday, largely unchanged from levels seen late last week in New York.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 112.69-70 yen compared with 112.77-87 yen in New York on Friday.

Financial Markets here were closed for three days from Wednesday for the Golden Week string of national holidays.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.0964-0968 dollars and 123.58-59 yen against 1.0994-1004 dollars and 123.95-124.05 yen in New York in late trade on Friday afternoon. Endit
