Twelve militants were killed and 23 others wounded in an accidental blast in Afghanistan's eastern province of Ghazni, the country's Defense Ministry said on Friday.

"Militants were busy in building Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and landmines in a compound in Ab Band district, Ghani province. As a result of a mine explosion in the building, 12 militants had been killed and 23 others wounded," the ministry said in a statement without providing details. (Afghanistan-Blast)

MANILA -- Inflation rate in the Philippines in April stood at 3.4 percent, the same as previous month due to slower price adjustment in electricity and gas and slightly higher prices of food commodities, the government said on Friday.

The National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) said the inflation rate was slightly below the median market expectation of 3.5 percent and remained within the government's target of 2.0 to 4.0 percent for 2017. (Philippines-Inflation)

NEW DELHI -- The Indian government on Friday announced new draft rules for country's no-fly list to prevent unruly passengers travelling by domestic airlines.

The three-level classification comprises physical gestures, unruly behavior and murderous assault.

According to Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathy Raju, who released the draft rules, passengers can be suspended from flying for three months to two years or more depending on how far they have cross the line. (India-No-fly list)

ISLAMABAD -- Pakistan army said on Friday that border with Afghanistan in Chaman area has been closed after three Pakistanis were killed by "unprovoked" firing from the Afghan side, while 18 others were injured.

The army spokesman said the Afghan Border Police "opened fire" on the Pakistani border forces Frontier Corps (FC) in charge of security of a population census team in southwestern Balochistan Province.

A senior health official in the province, Akhtar, said death toll from the cross-border firing reached three, and a woman is among the dead. (Pakistan-Afghanistan-Clash) Endit
