12 IS suspects detained in south Turkey

Turkish police detained 12 Islamic-State-linked suspects in operations conducted in Turkey's southern Adana province early Friday, local media reported.

Police carried out simultaneous operations in nine different addresses according to intelligence information. They conducted an extensive search at the targeted houses and surroundings.

The state-run Anadolu Agency reported that two of the 12 suspects are Iraqi nationals, five Syrian nationals and five Turkish.

The suspects were brought to the police headquarters after routine health check.

Police are reportedly searching for three other absconding suspects. Endit
