British FTSE 100 decreases 0.21 pct

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, on Wednesday decreased by 0.21 percent, or 15.52 points, to 7,234.53 points.

Share price of Sage Group increased by 3.44 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. Johnson Matthey, Micro Focus International, Pearson and Smurfit Kappa Group increased by 2.96 percent, 1.84 percent, 1.70 percent and 1.25 percent respectively.

J Sainsbury led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 5.72 percent, followed by Paddy Power Betfair (4.33 percent), Glencore (3.71 percent), Tesco (3.42 percent) and Anglo American (3.20 percent). Endit
