"The Fate of the Furious" leads Chinese box office for 3rd week

Universal's "The Fate of the Furious" held the top spot in the Chinese film market for the third week, earning 295 million yuan (42.8 million U.S.dollars) in the week ending April 30.

The eighth installment in "The Fast and the Furious" franchise has grossed more than 2.5 billion yuan since its release on April 14.

Hong Kong crime movie "Shock Wave" landed in second place for the week, taking in 170 million yuan.

Domestic suspense film "Battle of Memories" took third place, earning 151 million yuan.

In fourth place was Chinese romance "This Is Not What I Expected," generating 113 million yuan.

Rounding out the top five was domestic comedy "Love Off the Cuff," which grossed 87 million yuan. Endi
