The following are news highlights in Zambia's major media outlets on Wednesday.

-- The 18th Chinese Medical Team said the decision by the Zambian government to award the team with a certificate of merit record of hard work during the Labor Day celebration was a laudable recognition.

Team leader Gou Jianjun said this was the first time in the history of the Chinese medical aid to Zambia that such an award was honored in the recognition of their work. (Times of Zambia)

-- Togolese President Faure Gnassingbe is next week expected in Zambia for a state visit.
