German benchmark DAX index gains 69.89 points on Tuesday

The benchmark DAX index at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Tuesday gained 69.89 points, or 0.56 percent, and closed at 12,507.90.

European mass media company ProSiebenSat.1 gained the most among the blue chips, with its share price up by 3.80 percent, followed by renal dialysis equipment supplier Fresenius Medical and German multinational building materials company HeidelbergCement which increased 2.70 percent and 1.97 percent respectively.

Deutsche Post, Continental, and Bayer were the top three losers on Tuesday, as their shares decreased 2.25 percent, 2.19 percent, and 2.12 percent respectively.

German multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 293.75 million euros (about 320.44 million U.S. dollars). (1 euro = 1.09 U.S. dollars) Endit
