"The Fate of the Furious" leads North America box office for three weekends

Universal's "The Fate of the Furious" has crossed 1 billion U.S. dollars at the worldwide box office and took No. 1 at the box office in North America for the third straight week on a weekend.
The eighth installment in "The Fast and the Furious" franchise earned an estimated 19.4 million U.S. dollars in North America bring its total to 192.7 million U.S. dollars. The international weekend estimate is 68.4 million U.S. dollars in 66 territories for an international total of 867.6 million U.S. dollars, according to studio figures collected by comScore.
The worldwide total of "The Fate of the Furious" is 1.060 billion U.S. dollars to date. It is the 5th movie in Universal's 105-year history to reach the 1 billion U.S. dollars mark and the 4th highest grossing Universal film worldwide after Jurassic World (1.67 billion U.S. dollars), Furious 7(1.52 billion U.S. dollars) and Minions (1.16 billion U.S. dollars).
Lionsgate's "How to be a Latin Lover" opened in the second place, which brought in an estimated 12 million U.S. dollars. "How to be a Latin Lover" stars Eugenio Derbez as a man who falls on hard times after a career based on seducing older women. The film drew an audience that was 89 percent Hispanic.
An import from India ,Great India Films' release of "Baahubali: The Conclusion" took the number three spot with a surprising 10.1 million U.S. dollars debut. The film, directed by SS Rajamouli is an historical action drama fantasy and several versions of the film in different languages were released to very enthusiastic audiences. The film has smashed all records and on its track to create the biggest ever in Indian box office history.
STX's "The Circle" starring Tom Hanks and Emma Watson opened in fourth place, which brought in an estimated 9.3 million U.S. dollars.
DreamWorks Animation and Fox's "The Boss Baby"" finished fifth with an estimated 9 million U.S. dollars. Endit
