The following are the news highlights in major Kenyan media outlets on Friday.
-- Opposition coalition National Super Alliance (NASA) on Thursday unveiled Raila Odinga as its presidential flag-bearer and his deputy Kalonzo Musyoka, ending anxiety and speculation among supporters who had waited for months for the line-up.
The duo will take on President Uhuru Kenyatta in the Aug. 8 polls in what seems to be a re-run of the 2013 polls.
In his acceptance speech in Nairobi, Odinga affirmed that he would be a transitional president and would only serve for one term, one of the contentious issues that had almost broken the coalition amid tough negotiations. (Daily Nation)
