Poland interested in close cooperation with Indian in mining: PM

Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydlo met with visiting Indian Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari here on Thursday, saying the Polish government is interested in close cooperation with India in mining.

In a joint press conference, Szydlo underlined that India is traditionally one of the key non-European partners of Poland, saying: "Poland appreciates India's growing role in the international scene and the progress it has made in recent years."

Szydlo said she also discussed civil aviation and military cooperation with Ansari.

According to Ansari, in recent decades, India and Poland have been able to build strong economic relationships.

During his visit to the chancellery of the prime minister, a cooperation agreement on agriculture was signed between the Agriculture Minister of Poland Krzysztof Jurgiel and his Indian counterpart.

The purpose of the agreement is the development and coordination of bilateral cooperation in the agricultural sector. It aims to strengthen bilateral scientific and technological cooperation in the field of agriculture.

Ansari also attended the Poland-India Business Forum, organized by the Polish Ministry of Economic Development. Endit
