British FTSE 100 decreases 0.71 pct

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Thursday decreased by 0.71 percent, or 51.55 points, to 7,237.17 points.

Share price of Mediclinic International increased by 17.51 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. Kingfisher, Persimmon, Lloyds Banking Group and Johnson Matthey increased by 2.75 percent, 2.36 percent, 2.31 percent and 1.69 percent respectively.

BHP Billiton led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 4.75 percent, followed by Glencore (3.15 percent), Fresnillo (2.73 percent), Rio Tinto (2.63 percent) and International Consolidated Airlines Group (2.58 percent). Endit
