2 Saudi border guards die in landmine blast

Saudi Arabia announced on Thursday the death of two of its border guards in a landmine blast in Jazan region near Yemen, Saudi Press Agency reported.

Interior Ministry spokesman highlighted that the incident took place when the projectiles fired from Yemen caused the mine explosion.

Saudi Arabia foiled this week, a blast attack on a oil distribution station of Saudi Oil Company (Aramco) in Jazan, when the forces intercepted a remotely controlled boat that was planted with high-grade explosives in the middle of the sea.

The boat exploded before reaching its target, the ministry confirmed while blaming Houthi militias of being behind the plot. Endit
