Five killed in suicide bombing attacks in NE Nigeria

Suicide bombers have detonated explosives at three different locations in Muna area of restive northeast Nigeria's Borno State, an official with the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) said Wednesday.

Five lives were lost and 11 others injured in the incidence that occurred around 4: 11 a.m. local time, Abdulkadir Ibrahim, a regional spokesperson for the agency said in a statement made available to Xinhua.

The areas affected were Muna Usmanti, Muna Garage and Muna Ethopia respectively.

Ibrahim said four suicide bombers and a member of security volunteer group were among the dead.

"We have since taken the injured persons to hospital for proper medical attention while the dead bodies have been deposited in the mortuary," he added. Enditem
