Tokyo stocks advanced Wednesday morning as Wall Street's overnight rally set a positive tone early on, with a comparatively weak yen versus the U.S. dollar giving exporters a boost and propping up the broader market.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, advanced 13.52 points, or 0.89 percent, to 1,532.73.
