Xinhua, April 26, 2017 Adjust font size:

Chinese Vice Premier Liu Yandong emphasized here Tuesday the importance of continuously building and improving the China-Africa community of shared future.

The international landscape and the situation in China and Africa may keep on changing, but the importance and necessity of continuously building and improving the China-Africa community of shared future will never change, Liu told the opening session of a China-South Africa high-level dialogue on thought.

Noting that China is the biggest developing country in the world and Africa is the continent with the largest number of developing countries, she said that when China and Africa properly manage their respective internal affairs, they are actually making the biggest contribution to the world and mankind.

Liu called for more efforts to push forward the building of the China-Africa community of shared future and promote the building of a community of shared future for all mankind.

She also urged comprehensive and effective steps to be taken to implement the outcomes of the Johannesburg summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.

While striving for its own development, China will also endeavor to help Africa realize sustainable development and achieve win-win cooperation and common development, she said.

China will actively safeguard the common interests of the international community, in particular those of developing countries, and promote exchanges and dialogue between world civilizations so as to build a beautiful homeland for all mankind, she said.

The China-South Africa high-level dialogue on thought was jointly organized by the China Public Diplomacy Association and the South African foreign ministry.

More than 400 participants, including South African Foreign Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane, foreign ambassadors as well as scholars and representatives from China and Africa, attended the dialogue. Endi
