China crude steel output up 4.6 pct in Q1

China's crude steel output grew 4.6 percent year on year to 201.1 million tonnes in the first quarter of 2017, compared with a slight drop for the same period of last year, an industry association said Wednesday.

The rise was a result of more production capacity and a low comparison base last year, the China Iron and Steel Association said in a press release. Endi
