South Korea on Tuesday condemned Japan's repeated territorial claims to a pair of its rocky islets, known as Dokdo in South Korea and Takeshima in Japan, after the announcement of Japan's diplomatic paper.

The 2017 diplomatic blue paper, released earlier in the day, reiterated Japan's territorial claims to the set of islets lying halfway between South Korea and Japan. (S.Korea-Japan-Territorial Dispute)

ISLAMABAD -- At least four militants and a kid were killed while four security personnel injured during an overnight clash between the militants and the forces in Pakistan's southern port city of Karachi, officials said Tuesday.

Spokesperson of paramilitary troops Rangers said that the forces conducted a search operation at the militants' hideout on a tip-off by another terrorist arrested a few days ago by the forces.(Pakistan-Clash-Militants)

ISLAMABAD -- Pakistani army said four hardcore terrorists, who were involved in "committing heinous offenses relating to terrorism," were hanged on Tuesday.

An army statement said the terrorists were convicted on the charges of killing of innocent civilians, attacking armed forces of Pakistan and law enforcement agencies.(Pakistan-Terrorists-Hang)

NEW DELHI -- India Tuesday bid adieu to the 25 security forces personnel who were killed in a deadly ambush by Naxalite, or Naxal rebels, in the central state of Chhattisgarh's Sukma district Monday.

Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh laid wreaths on the coffins of the soldiers of the paramilitary Central Reserve Security Force (CRPF) and a 21-gun salute was given to the deceased, before the final rites were carried out.(India-Naxalite-Adieu) Endit
