-- Public Works Minister Nkosinathi Nhleko on Monday cancelled a press briefing scheduled for Tuesday where he was expected to "set the record straight" on further upgrades to President Jacob Zuma's Nkandla homestead.

In a short email addressed to media, the department's spokesperson Lunga Mahlangu cancelled the briefing and apologized for the "unforeseen cancellation". (News24)

-- Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng said on Monday he sees no cause for concern over a small number of members of the Executive that do not comply with court orders or judgments.

Mogoeng, speaking to the media on the sidelines of the fourth Conference of Constitutional Jurisdictions of Africa in Cape Town, said he is not concerned about exceptional cases. (South African Broadcasting Corporation)

-- The African National Congress (ANC) will introduce an amended land rights bill in Parliament in May after the top court declared invalid a law that re-opened a process for blacks to make claims on land taken from them during apartheid.
