Slovakia face relegation from the Fed Cup World Group after losing against the Netherlands 2-3 on Sunday. Kiki Bertens, No.20 in the world WTA rankings, also won her second match 6-3, 6-3 against Jana Cepelova.

"Kiki showed, why she belongs among world-class tennis players. She played almost without faults and I couldn't find a way to surprise her," said a disappointed Cepelova after the match.

Dutch domination was also confirmed by Richel Hogenkamp, who defeated Kristina Kucova 7-4, 6-4 and gained a decisive third point.

The Dutch ladies improved their overall balance against Slovakia to 3-1. The Slovak team, Fed Cup winners in 2002, had been absent from the World Group since 2014. Enditem
