Xinhua, April 24, 2017 Adjust font size:

The U.S. dollar traded in the lower 110 yen zone in early deals on Monday, rising from levels seen in New York at the end of last week.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 110.01-02 yen compared with 109.07-17 yen in New York and 109.20-21 yen in late Friday afternoon trade in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.0874-0874 dollars and 119.63-67 yen against 1.0721-0731 dollars and 116.88-98 yen in New York and 1.0721-0722 dollars and 117.07-11 yen at 5 p.m. on Friday in Tokyo.

The euro spiked versus the U.S. dollar and the yen in early deals here, owing to the first round of France's presidential race seeing fears eased about a possible exit by the country from the European Union. Enditem
