Singapore stocks close 0.37 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished higher on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 11.6 points, or 0.37 percent, to close at 3,137.88.

A total of 2.47 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1.16 billion Singapore dollars (830.19 million U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered decliners 230 to 225.

The STI index lost 11.26 points, or 0.36 percent, to close at 3,126.28 on Wednesday. Endit
