The following are news highlights in Zambia's major media outlets on Thursday.

-- Zambian President Edgar Lungu has directed ministers and officials in the ruling party to stop issuing statements relating to the treason court case against the country's leading opposition leader.

Lungu said officials should stop commenting on the treason charge involving Hakainde Hichilema as it was now a judicial matter. (Times of Zambia)
