Dollar changes hands in mid-108 yen range in early Tokyo trade

The U.S. dollar changed hands in the mid-108 yen range in early deals in Tokyo on Wednesday morning, principally in line with levels seen overnight in New York.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 108.54-55 yen compared with 108.38-48 yen in New York and 108.86-87 yen at 5 p.m. on Tuesday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.0728-0733 dollars and 116.44-45 yen against 1.0726-0736 dollars and 116.32-42 yen in New York and 1.0650-0651 dollars and 115.94-98 yen in Tuesday afternoon trade in Tokyo. Endit
