Three people were killed as a man went on a shooting spree in central Fresno, California on Tuesday and later surrendered to police, the Fresno Police Department said.

The 39-year-old suspect, identified as Kori Ali Muhammad, was taken into custody.

The shooting spree was a random act of violence and Muhammad shouted "Allahu Akbar" as police tackled him to the ground, Police Chief Jerry Dyer said.(U.S.-Shooting)

WASHINGTON -- U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday signed a "Buy American, Hire American" executive order in Kenosha, Wisconsin, initiating visa and government purchase reforms.

"With this action, we are sending a powerful signal to the world: We're going to defend our workers, protect our jobs, and finally put America first," Trump told hundreds of factory workers before signing the document.

The document will bring in major changes regarding the H1B visa program, including closing loopholes for immigration fraud and a shift from the current lottery system to a mechanism that favors higher paid and higher skilled workers.(U.S-Trump-Order)

CAIRO -- At least one policeman was killed and four other were wounded on Tuesday in an attack on a security checkpoint near Egypt's Saint Catherine's Monastery in South Sinai, state television reported.

Unknown militants attacked the fixed security checkpoint, but the monks and priests inside the Monastery were not harmed, state-run Ahram newspaper reported on its website.(Egypt-Attack-Sinai)

TEHRAN -- Iran will start construction of two nuclear power plants in the country in cooperation with Russian experts, Iranian Energy minister announced on Tuesday.
