British stocks rise slightly Tuesday

British shares gained slightly on Tuesday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 0.23 percent, or 16.56 points, to close at 7,365.50 points.

Randgold Resources increased by 4.84 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Fresnillo and easyJet rose by 4.36 percent and 2.08 percent respectively.

Royal Bank of Scotland Group dropped 1.88 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. Hikma Pharmaceuticals was down 1.39 percent. Standard Chartered lost 1.36 percent. Endit
