Lithuania holds statutory officers drill on hybrid warfare threats

Xinhua, April 11, 2017 Adjust font size:

Around 700 statutory officers attended an unannounced tactical drill in eastern Lithuania to deter hybrid warfare threats by the country's borders on Tuesday.

Lithuanian police, state border guards and public security officers attended tactical training by the eastern border of Lithuania, the country's interior ministry said.

The drill was based on scenarios in which specials forces from unfriendly countries invade Lithuanian territory and try to capture the check-point of state border guard and local police headquarters.

"A deployment of little green men to Lithuanian territory and disembarking from a train was simulated," Interior Minister Eimutis Misiunas told local media after the training. Endit
