Spanish stock market down 0.87 pct

Spain's benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 fell 0.87 percent on Monday to close at 10,437.70 points, down from the 10,529 points of Friday.

On Monday session, Banco Popular shares led falls losing 9.61 percent, followed by Caixabank, Banco Santander, Banco Sabadell, Melia Hotels and Bankia that lost 3.01 percent, 1.68 percent, 1.61 percent, 1.52 percent and 1.48 percent respectively.

On the other hand, IAG shares led rises climbing 1.40 percent, followed by Viscofan, Gamesa, Indra A, Grifols and Cellnex that rose 1.26 percent, 1.05 percent, 0.88 percent, 0.54 percent and 0.36 percent respectively.

Meanwhile, Spain's risk premium closed at 142 points and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate closed at 1.6 percent. Endit
